This calculator app can determine either the end date of a specified period of working days or calculate the number of working days between a start and end date. It is specific for use in New Zealand, accounting for statutory holidays, regional anniversaries, and summer shutdown periods (if applicable). Choose between two calculation modes: Deadline and Difference. Deadline Mode calculates an end date based on a start date and number of working days, while Difference Mode determines the number of working days between two specified dates.
In Deadline Mode, choose to calculate forwards or backwards from the start or target date. For example, use backwards calculation to determine when to send a notice for a meeting on a specific date.
Includes the recently introduced Matariki holiday dates until 2052 as specified in the Te Kāhui o Matariki Public Holiday Act 2022.
Select the regional anniversary(s) that apply to your location or the working day definition your using or choose "No Anniversary" if none apply. You can choose multiple regions.
Recognizes holidays that fall on weekends and are observed on the following working day, such as Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day.
Choose from three summer shutdown period options: ADLS documentation, statutory definitions, or Courts' Rules. Note that some statutes use longer periods matching the Courts' shutdown.
Accounts for Christmas and New Year holidays that fall on weekends and are observed on the next working day(s).
